3 years! and it's still new!

Today marks our 3rd year of being united by God in marriage!
What a blessing it has been!
We have learned many things! and experienced God's blessings of marriage many times!
Our love for each other has gown more and more! and it will continue!

We have decided to make it our goal to always be able to fit into our wedding attire, and continue taking photos in them every couple of years or so...
It will be a reminder of the years past, how we have grown, and it will be neat to see us get old in our wedding "get up" as I like to call it.

I was very excited when I tried my dress on and it fit! Today was my goal date to be able to fit into my wedding dress again! and I did!

It brought back so many memories to see each other in our wedding outfits!
I just kept looking at Philemon and remembering how nervous I was on that day!
he was and is so handsome! memories! I love remembering things! It keeps things alive!

Recent Life in the Rose Garden.

There are some things I have found you do NOT have to teach you children!
james quit doing this before Jonathan was born... some how Jonathan just knows that this is what you do to the wipes when mommy's not looking! :)

who needs high-chairs?  my kids are little piggies!
(for the record, i dont let them do this, it was easier to let them eat this way that day because i was missing one of my highchairs, and the noodles are a lot easier to wipe off the table then pick out of the highchair. heheh!)

my projects today...
2 skirts in about 3 hours.. i cant decide if i keep them for the future (if i ever have any girls) or sell them, or give them away. one is about a 18 mo, and the other is 0-3 mo

i just love that i can put the peasant skirts together! and i have sooo much scrap fabric! they just happened to match each other :)

My prayer and goal...

This morning i was reading in 1st kings, and i came upon some really inspiring verses:

1 Kings 2:1-4
Now the days of David drew nigh that he should die; and he charged Solomon his son, saying,
" I go the way of all the earth: be thou strong therefore, and shew thyself a man;
And keep the charge of the lord thy God, to walk in his ways, to keep his statutes, and his commandments, and his judgements, and his testimonies, as it is written int he law of Moses, that thou mayest prosper in all that thou doest, and whithersoever, thou turnest thyself:
That the lord may continue his word which he spake concerning me, saying,
If thy children take heed to their way, to walk before me in truth with all their heart and with all their soul, there shall not fail thee(said he) a man on the throne of Israel ".

I pray that I can teach my sons to be strong men of God, who follow after his commandments, and show them selves men! i pray i can instill a love of Christ in them, and that they will take heed to their ways, and follow after the truth.!  so may "teens" don't know how to be men and women of christ, don't pay attention to what they are doing. they are still children.(i was one of them!)  I pray I can grow my boys to be young MEN! Solid in the truth, not afraid to speak it, not ignorant in the truth! all over scripture Christ promises reward to those who teach and train the next generation to Love, honor and obey him, and punishment to those who do not! i pray that God gives me wisdom, and strength to raise them to love him, and grace when i fail.(because i know i will at times).

stupid adds!

im wondering how in the world im getting adds in my blog...

i post something new, and special words think they need an add for them, so the next thing i know, i have an add for something like but cream, or baby gates, just because i might have used those words in a post... i also get adds above my blog title, and above every other blog i look at, and with special words in someone else's blog... how to i turn it off, or make them go away... its kind of annoying! :)

Jonathan Kyle Rose

Today Jonathan is 11 months old! only one month till we have had our little "Fuzzy" for a whole year!

Jonathan has grown so much!

In Daddy's arms.!
Jonathan spent most of his first hours in daddy's arms. i only help him for about a minuets before Philemon had to hold him. i was super tired, and dehydrated, so daddy help our calm little boy while i rested before heading home.  then that whole night he was asleep in my arms. i couldn't let him go!
(then day two he was in his own cradle pushed away from our bed so i could get a little sleep)

Jonathan has always been a mommy's boy...
he doesn't like me to leave him, though this is getting better as he gets older.
he gets so excited when he sees me get out the "foby" (my wrap) because he knows that is his special cuddle time... i am sad, he is too big for it now, i tried it the other day, and he's not just too heavy, i cant even tie it all the way any more. so i think i will be looking into an ergo soon.

Jonathan is learning so much! he is just about walking! he is super cautious about it, so he just scoots his foot, then the other. but i think by his birthday he will be walking.
i cant believe that he is talking so well already! he is saying some words as clearly as James can... he will copy just about anything he hears...
but his solid words are. "kitty, bye, hi, no, touch (don't touch), and maam (yes mam).
his phrase as of late is "hi dad" then he screams in joy and bolts to dad when he walks in the door. (or pretty much any other time he sees him:)

he eats every solid food imaginable, but is a little skinny. we were asked to try formula to fatten him up, but he wont take it, so if i can get him to drink other brands, i might just have to go with my mommy instincts, and just decide he will be tall and thin like dad.:) im not worrying too much about it.. i will know more when they call me with his iron levels.

Jonathan is a happy, oh so funny boy who loves just about everyone when he isn't tired and wanting mommy. i cannot wait to see what the Lord has in store for him, and i pray i do not get in the way of that. :)

Little mile stones!

i know that some kids are smarter than mine. so im not bragging about much! but i love to see them learn something new! that involves using your brain! there is rolling over, and sitting up, and stnading! which i guess it uses some of your brain to use the muscles the right way... but i mean the thinking part of your brain! (the part i lost after my first child! HA!)

James now knows that his kitty magnet is a "KIIITTAAAY!", and his dog magnet is a"DO-OG".
while he cannot say rabbit, he knows which magnet is the rabbit... we are working on the duck magnet next... right now duck sounds like dog, so James just looks at me like im getting it wrong... then grabs the dog magnet and says "DO-OG"
(for some reason he pauses in the middle of the word!:)

He also finally figured out where each of his animal magnits go and how to fit them into their spot on his doodle board. (something i have been waiting for some time now!)  ive tried to get him to do wodden puzzles, and for the longest time he would just throw them at me :) hehe, or chew on them... so, this doodle thing we bought him has been working out nicely... he loves to draw, and he is learning new things with it! i also think playing more with him individually (now that i have more time) has helped with learning! im just super excited to see him learn things! i have also noticed that he likes to make me happy... when he sees his doodle board, he runs to it, makes sure i am watching, and starts showing off what he knows, they yells "yea!" and looks for praise! I am so blessed! i love my boy...
(Jonathan is learning too, but today im writing about james:)

Christmas gifts:)

Among other things I got some inspiring gifts this year...

Susan bought me some stacking cookie coolers!

so cool! Because I can cool lots of other things on it too :) It is one of my favorite kitchen gadgets...
I think I am a bit prejudice to "uni-taskers" when it comes to my kitchen.. I like gadgets that can do other things... (I just found out that my cookie press can also be used to fill Manicotti)
getting different gadgets has inspired my coking... I'm getting a little more creative

Then Philemon bough me (us) an espresso machine! a real one!

After having bought new dishes (early Christmas gift), buying this late maker seems to have finished my coffee station! I love it! Now I get to make my own latte's! I'm beginning to feel kind of spoiled!
I'm so glad Philemon is great at finding good deals! This machine is normally $200 and we got it for $100 after shipping:) wohoo! I love that it can store a good bit of water, so i don't have to fill it every time I want a latte'  :)

(i also got yarn, and crochet hooks to make myself a hat and scarf.! looking forward to making more hats for a friend's  blog auction in the future! )
